How we collect, use and protect your personal information on the Chipa website and waitlist.
Chipa is in pre-launch development and is not yet operating live payment services. This policy explains how we handle information collected through our website, waitlist and communications.
Chipa (“we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect personal information when you visit our website, join the waitlist or contact us.
Our planned app is focused on receiving naira, local transfers, airtime and data top-ups, and electricity and cable TV bill payments. This policy covers the website and pre-launch activities; it does not describe data processing for live financial services.
At the pre-launch website stage, we do not ask you to provide bank account credentials, payment card details, BVN, NIN or government identification through the waitlist.
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate the website, waitlist, analytics and communications. They may process information only to provide services to us and subject to appropriate protections, or where disclosure is required by law.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information. Our website providers may process information in locations outside Nigeria. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such processing. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
We keep waitlist information while it is useful for the purposes described here, or as required by law. You may ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or unsubscribe from updates, by emailing hello@usechipa.com.
The website and waitlist are not intended for people under 18. We may update this policy as our website or pre-launch activities change. We will post the current version on this page.
For privacy questions or requests, contact us at hello@usechipa.com.
Our compliance and support team is here to answer any inquiries regarding our terms, data protection, or waitlist.
